New and never used. You will receive an UNOPENED instrument (not the one in the photo). Reusable plastic button case and fingering chart for both Greman style and Baroque system playing. Thick plastic flute can break apart into three short pieces for purse carry or cleaning. New and unused. Flute has eight fingering holes and a whistle shaped mouthpiece which is the definition of a flute type instrument called a recorder. Overall length is: 12 3/4 inches. This is a simple instrument to start with and get the idea of how single notes are played in succession (rhythm) to become a tune or song.
