DICTIONARY of MARKS ~ POTTERY AND PORCELAIN Hardback book by Ralph M. and Terry H. Kovel Copyright, 1953, by Crown Publishers, Inc. 278 page Reference book containing black and white illustrations of pottery and porcelain marks to identify a piece of porcelain from its marks. From the Foreword: "The book is divided into two parts. We have arranged the marks according to their shapes. The first half contains those marks that look like letters or words. The second half contains marks that look like a circle, square, bird or animal shape, etc. " This book is in pretty good condition with minor edgewear to the cover and has some light water damage. The bottom edges of the pages, approximately 1 inch along the edges show some very faint water marks. No torn, ripped or missing pages and none of the pages are stuck together.
